Nitro's Commitment To USA Swimming's Safe Sport Program
Nitro Swimming and USA Swimming are committed to providing a healthy and positive environment free from abuse for all its members. The Safe Sport program, a comprehensive abuse prevention program, consists of a multi-layered approach to keep kids safe, including: required policies and best practice guidelines; mandatory screening, including criminal background checks and employment screening; training and education; monitoring, supervision and mandatory reporting. These measures are informed by experts in the field of child safety and are among the strongest safeguards found in youth-serving organizations. For more information see USA Swimming's Safe Sport Page.
The Mandatory Reporting Rule requires any individual with credible information involving sexual misconduct to report that information to our Safe Sport Program staff. USA Swimming provides an online form for confidential reporting of sexual misconduct, bullying, inappropriate communications, or code of conduct violations. Please be aware that in Texas everyone has a duty to report suspected child abuse to law enforcement. Contact your county’s Division of Social Services or the Special Victims unit at your police station for more information about reporting. If an incident involving child sexual abuse occurs outside of Texas, please also contact law enforcement in the municipality in which the incident occurred.
